Full-time and Extra-mural
European Studies look to explore the political processes taking place on our continent. This is an area of study recommended to those looking for intellectual challenges and wishing to take active part in the changes taking place within Europe. Graduates will be capable of fully appreciating and analyzing political, social, economic and cultural events, and will be able to take up employment as a specialist in EU studies in the 25 member states of the European Union.
PROGRAM OF STUDIES
European Studies at SWPS place strong emphasis on:
- Social Competences - providing students with the tools and abilities to function in multi-cultural Europe. This means that our graduates will be well suited to deal with problems arising in professional life.
- Public Relations and Media Relations – students will learn about the role of audio-visual imagery, media and the law, politics and media in the EU.
- Participation in Workshops - aimed at seeking out appropriate EU programs, applying for EU funding, creating business plans and projects. These workshops are conducted by professionals in their field.
* For students planning a career in politics, we plan to introduce simulation games on decision-making processes in the EU within the framework of taught courses.
Over the course of their studies, students will acquire practical professional skills required of specialists, such as searching out appropriate EU programs, creating business plans and projects with the aim of acquiring EU Program financing.
